Melt
I’ve collected the colours of the lake Balaton for two years. I’ve occupied a pier and I’ve prepared numerous sketches. I’ve tried to paint as many variables of a tone as possible. I wanted to make a wide range of colour repertoire about the nexus of the sky and the water. I’ve painted in sunlight, in rain, before a storm, after a storm, in dark and even at dawn. Each occasion I’ve prepared about four to five sketches, until I felt that I’ve ran out of options for new colour tones that I could paint. Based on these varied light settings. I have observed different tones and shadows and I prepared this series of paintings.
